Nilza Costa KONCERT

Revolution, Rivoluzione, Revolução, the debut album of the Brazilian singer and song-writer Nilza Costa, is a journey begun in Salvador da Bahia where the singer was born and it deals with a mystic Brazil. With a deep “black” voice, Nilza Costa drives the listener through the discovery of a past tied to the myths and traditions of a country whose population has found the way to emancipation through the music. Nilza translates this tension, transforming it into a metaphor which involves all human-beings and finds the right answer in revolution. It is pure World Music and Afro Jazz album where Nilza’s Afro-Brazilian roots are contaminated by Samba, Jazz, Reggae and Blues; all these elements recall the lights and shadows of the Jungle. Some of the artists who have worked on the album include Giancarlo Bianchetti, Peppe Siracusa and Massimo Donno (guitars); Roberto Rossi and Cristian Vistoli (percussions); Carlo Atti (alto saxophone); Claudio Cadei (violin), Davide Garattoni (double bass), Manuel Dimba Monteiro (drums); Gianluca Sia (soprano saxophone) and Silvia Donati, Carlotta Monti and Francesca Biancoli (voices).
