Światowa premiera niezwykłej muzyki autorstwa Paula Anthony’ego Romero stworzonej na potrzeby popularnej serii gier strategicznych Heroes of Might and Magic. Na scenie wystąpią artyści Orkiestry Narodowego Forum Muzyki – łącznie osiemdziesięcioosobowy zespół muzyków – a także kompozytor we własnej osobie.

We Wrocławiu odbędzie się koncert symfoniczny, podczas którego na żywo zaprezentowane zostaną utwory pochodzące ze ścieżek dźwiękowych gier serii Heroes of Might and Magic. Wydarzenie będzie miało miejsce 27 października 2017 w Narodowym Forum Muzyki. Repertuar składa się z trzech suit – każda prezentuje muzykę z jednej z części tej serii gier. Suita pierwsza to muzyka z II części Heroes of Might and Magic. Na suitę drugą złożą się najpiękniejsze fragmenty ścieżki dźwiękowej z Heroes III. Trzecia, ostatnia suita zawierać będzie utwory, które można usłyszeć w IV części serii.

Koncert The Symphony of Heroes organizowany jest przez gamemusic.pl – portal, który już od ponad 10 lat zajmuje się tematyką muzyki z gier wideo. Suity będą wykonywane w całości w wersji czysto akustycznej, bez wzmacniaczy elektrycznych i mikrofonów. To wysmakowana uczta nie tylko dla fanów gier, lecz także dla koneserów dobrej muzyki ilustracyjnej. Po głównym spektaklu będzie można posłuchać na żywo recitalu fortepianowego samego kompozytora – Paul Anthony Romero zaszczyci wydarzenie swoją obecnością. Recital będzie równocześnie sesją meet&greet z kompozytorem.

The world premiere of incredible music created by Paul Anthony Romero for Heroes of Might and Magic – the ever-popular strategy games franchise. It will be performed live by artists of the National Forum of Music, an eighty musicians total, including the composer himself.

A symphonic concert with game music will take place in Wroclaw, Poland. During the event, pieces from soundtracks of the Heroes of Might and Magic series will be played live by orchestra. The concert will take place on the 27th of October 2017 in the National Forum of Music. The repertoire comprises of three suites, each of them presenting music from one of the games of the series. The first suite includes music from Heroes of Might and Magic II, the second suite contains fragments of the Heroes III soundtrack, and the last suite comprises of songs heard in the fourth part of the game.
The Symphony of Heroes is organized by the team of gamemusic.pl – website which has been covering all matters related to the music of video games for over 10 years now. Each suite will be performed in a fully acoustic version, without amplifiers or microphones. This will be a delightful evening not only for video game aficionados, but also for all connoisseurs of illustrative music. After the main concert, attendees will get the chance to participate in a live piano recital by the composer – Paul Anthony Romero will be present during the event. The recital will also be a meet & greet session with him.

Narodowe Forum Muzyki im. Witolda Lutosławskiego we Wrocławiu to imponujący gmach na mapie polskich filharmonii. Doskonała akustyka specjalnie zaprojektowanych sal koncertowych stawia NFM w czołówce najlepszych obiektów tego typu na świecie. Posiadają one nowoczesne systemy służące do zmiany akustyki, m.in. ruchomy sufit oraz przestrzenie akustyczne okalające sale, pozwalając na regulację długości wybrzmienia dźwięku.

The venue:
The Witold Lutosławski National Forum of Music (NFM) is an impressive edifice located in Wroclaw, Poland. The perfect acoustics of its concert halls put it among the very best objects of its kind in the world. Moreover, the concert halls have innovative systems for programming acoustics, including the shifting ceiling in the main concert hall and an air margin encircling it, allowing to control the length of reverberation.

Artyści:
Za wykonanie muzyki z serii Heroes of Might and Magic odpowiada ceniona Orkiestra Narodowego Forum Muzyki. Orkiestra NFM Filharmonia Wrocławska powstała w 1945 roku i od tego czasu wykonała dziesiątki unikalnych projektów, promując także polską muzyką za granicą.

The artists:
The music of Heroes of Might and Magic will be played by The National Forum of Music Orchestra. The NFM Orchestra was founded in 1945, and since then it has been delivering dozens of unique projects, also promoting Polish music around the world.

Partytura:
Przygotowaniem repertuaru zajął się Jan Sanejko, jeden z najwybitniejszych polskich kompozytorów młodego pokolenia. W 2013 roku został wyróżniony Nagrodą im. Zygmunta Mycielskiego, a rok później uhonorowany I miejscem w konkursie FMF Young Talent Award, prestiżowym wyróżnieniem przyznawanym przez Festiwal Muzyki Filmowej w Krakowie. Cały projekt przygotowania partytury nadzorował sam Paul Anthony Romero.

The score:
The musical score for this event was prepared by Jan Sanejko, one of the brilliant Polish composers of the young generation. In 2013, he received the prestigious Zygmunt Mycielski Award, and a year later he won the first place in the FMF Young Talent Award competition ran by the Film Music Festival in Krakow, Poland. The whole project of preparing the score was being overseen by Paul Anthony Romero.
