Marcel Heese urodził się w 1983 i dorastał w niewielkim miasteczku w okolicach Berlina. Z prawdziwych techno zetknął się on dzięki Cisco Ferreirze aka The Advent, ktorego to energiczny set zainspirował go do kupna pierwszych płyt. W 2003 roku poszedł jeszcze dalej - zdecydował się na gramofony. Początkowo jego kolekcja winylowa składała się wyłącznie z cięższych odmian techno, jednakże szybko rozszerzyła się na inne gatunki: od chicago i deep house'u przez dubstep i bass music, aż po IDM, ambient czy breakcore. Pierwsze występy publiczne w berlińskich klubach zaczęły się w 2006 roku, a po czterech latach Marcel dołączył do ekipy Tresora, zostając rezydentem tego legendarnego klubu. Jego unikalny gust, doskonałe miksy i szeroki wachlarz prezentowanych gatunkow sprawiły, iż w bardzo szybkim czasie zaczął być zapraszany do klubow w wielu państwach Europy - dotychczas wystąpił m.in. na Litwie, w Finlandii, Chorwacji, Słowenii, Słowacji, Belgii, Hiszpanii i w Polsce, jak rownież dwukrotnie na festiwalu Nature One.

9.06 w stołecznym „55" Marcel zaprezentuje się od nieco delikatniejszej strony, łącząc głębokie techno z wysmakowanym housem i kto wie, czym jeszcze. Obok gościa z Berlina na tę okazję specjalny set planuje reprezentant Mo's Ferry - Piotr Bejnar, ktory postanowił odkurzyć swoją winylową kolekcję i zagrać „back from the days". For the night of June 9th, collected efforts of Hola! and Technosoul bring you a very special event in the one and only Club 55. The very special guest - Marcel Heese, the representative for world-wide known Tresor Club - will play a unique mixture of top-notch techno, house and beyond. Alongside, Mo's Ferry's very own Piotr Bejnar comes up with a special 12" only mix back from the days and H108 together with Essence will provide you with mixes based on both fresh and old school techno tracks.

Marcel Heese was born in 1983 in a small town near Berlin. At the tender age of 17, he accidentally encountered electronic dance music for the first time, after hearing sets from Love Parade on the radio. Instantly catching the bug, he started getting deeper into it week by week, soon leaving commercial sounds behind him.

Despite being interested in 'real' techno, it wasn't until 2002 that he attended a party playing this music, and it was the power of this sound that began to fascinate him most. Soon after, Marcel visited Berlin techno mecca - Tresor, where he was lucky enough to hear a dj set from Anthony Child aka Surgeon. Harsh, post-industrial techno left a huge impression on him, which fuelled an ongoing interest in the Birmingham sound that still lasts today.

In 2003 Marcel bought his first turntables and almost instantly started spending all his money on vinyl records - at that time mostly banging tool- techno, which was the basis for developing his interests further. Being a diligent and careful listener, he soon discovered deeper sounds and got hooked on a variety of styles: Detroit, Chicago, Dub Techno, Ambient, Italo Disco, Noise, Industrial, Breakcore and Dubstep to name a few. Marcel's current sets are an amalgamation of all those genres but in spite of such diversity he manages to keep them smooth and congruent.

His first public gigs came in 2007: his debut was in Ruderclub Mitte, then Subversiv, Kiki Blofeld and Tresor, while in 2008 he played at some other locations. He quickly gained approval for his sets and as a result in April 2008 Marcel became part of the prestigious Tresor Headquarters team. Besides playing in Germany he has also visited a few foreign cities: Madrid (Spain), Helsinki, Tampere (both Finland), Zagreb (Croatia), Ljubljana (Slovenia), Tournai (Belgium), Vilnius, Kaunas (both Lithuania), Sopot, Szczecin, Katowice, Bialystok (all in Poland).

His favourite labels and artists (all-time and current) are: Downwards, Counterbalance / Dynamic Tension, Axis, Warp, Tresor, Red Planet, Sahko, Transmat, FXHE, Basic Channel / Maurizio, Mojuba, Redshape, Bitstream, Robert Hood, Planetary Assault Systems, Blueprint, Jamal Moss / Hieroglyphic Being, G-Man, Drexciya, Counterpart, The 65D Mavericks, Deepchord, Theo Parrish, Sleeparchive, Ostgut Ton, Sandwell District, Ancient Methods, Forward Strategy Group, 2562, Shed. Influences of all those can be heard in Marcel's eclectic mixes, which have recently decreased in BPM, adding to increased power in the groove...
