Lżej // Lighter: a short improv workshop

A free improv workshop means learning how to take spontanious, free actions and careful observation along with aware cooperation.

Lighter is - literally - a light version of free improv workshops for those who need to chill a bit.

We will search for pleasure of movement and distance from ourselves under the supervivion of an experienced educator. We'll murmur, tance, roll. Experiment with our personal boundaries and comfort zone. We'll get lighter.

A significant part of the workshop will be devoted to physical and vocal training known also as working on tools. Free improv workshop is a non-theatrical workshop (formally, however, in 2022 we meet as the Free Theater).

Lighter workshop is for you if:

• you want to allow yourself to do more

• you'd wish to push yourself outside your comfort zone soflty

• self-growth is your hobby

• you want to move your body and activate your voice

• you want to overcome your shyness

• you want to work with other creative and curious people

🧭 Leader: Piotr Filonowicz created and runs the theatre workshops of the Academy of Arts and Culture. He is a graduate of the Theater Academy, the founder of the groups: Night Line and Fabryka Destrukcja. Leader of the Theater Workshops of the Academy of Art and Culture, where he has been working for 20 years. Organizes ethnomusicological trips. He conducts voice opening classes. He created a voice spinning mill. He is a co-creator of free improvisation. He took part in numerous theater workshops (e.g. under the supervision of Eugenio Barba, Thomas Richards). Piotr Filonowicz is also the author of scripts realized in the theater. He had published essays on Rilke, Proust, Schulz, Wyspiański.
